The idea for the TracMe Locator Beacon evolved after seeing how many people were
lost outdoors for extended periods, often with tragic results. It seemed to us
that the search and rescue process could be made far more efficient and
effective if an affordable and reliable rescue beacon
were available to the general public.
As a result, TracMe Beacons P/L was set up by Tilo Schmidt and Joe Rainczuk.
